Matrix#
(Also known as the Monolithic Awfully Trendy Re-Implementation of XMPP)

We're running Dendrite, a second-generation1 Matrix homeserver written in Go.
The homeserver address is tohoku.laidback.moe, named after the tragic earthquake and tsunami that afflicted the 東北 (Touhoku) region of Japan in the year 2011.
Authentication#
It uses its own mechanism, not unlike XMPP
